Sometimes, living feels like being in a cage where one can see a glimmer of light but is trapped with no option but to wait. The idea came to the creator when a sense of loneliness had completely enveloped them. Yet, they knew that eventually, the hardships would turn sweet. What was troubling was the feeling of being in a cage, while what was beautiful was the sense of hope.

Sometimes, when someone we love is absent, we feel a profound sense of incompleteness. It's as if, with those we cherish, we become two souls sharing one body. In this artwork, the artist wanted to capture that feeling of being incomplete,
of missing pieces of themselves, and the endless search for those lost fragments.
This piece was chosen for the 2024 Border Biennial Artists and was displayed at the El Paso Museum of Art in El Paso, Texas.
